Romania November, 2019
My Little Patient will be taking a Medical and Dental Team to historic Romania to assist at the Children’s Hospital and an orphanage in Brasov. The team will fly into Bucharest and take a train to the gothic center of Brasov surrounded by the beautiful Carpathian Mountains of the Transylvania region.
Team members will have the opportunity to work with children during the trip. There is a great need in the region to assist children of all ages. The team will have the opportunity not only to provide much needed medical and dental care, but to also provide health education. We are currently working with the local hospital to provide lectures from our healthcare team to those that currently practice in Romania.
While the team will be comprised of primarily medical and dental professionals, we are still in need of Humanitarians that are willing to spend time with the children and do activities with them while we are there. You do not need to be a medical professional to apply.
There will also be a scenic tour of Castle Bran, the historic castle that was home to Vlad the Impaler, or better know, as the modern day Dracula.
The team will be capped at 16 participants. All members will travel to Bucharest together from Washington DC.
The trip donation will included, roundtrip airfare from Washington DC to Bucharest. On-ground travel from Bucharest to Brasov, lodging, meals, travel insurance, excursions and local fees. You will be responsible for your plane fare to Washington DC from your point of origin.
